Gas.
Due to the pervasiveness of central heating systems in homes, at work and in schools, there has been an increase in the use of natural gas, from domestic and non-domestic sources, in Krakow as well as throughout the rest of Poland.
The state owned Polish Oil and Gas Company, deals with the exploration for and production of natural gas and crude oil. They also handle the import, storage, distribution and sale of oil and natural gas.
Along with electricity and water, gas must also be paid for according to mandatory meters which are installed in all new and modernised buildings.
