Founded in 1919, the AGH University of Science and Technology has 15 faculties and 2 inter-faculty schools in Krakow.
Originally established as an institute for mining and metallurgy, today the university serves as a centre for science, economy and research. Faculties include: Mining and Geo-engineering, Metals Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Mining Surveying, Materials Science, Foundry Engineering, Non-Ferrous Metals, Drilling Oil and Gas, Management, Fuels and Energy, Physics, Applied Mathematics and Humanities.
AGH is ranked as Poland’s eighth best university and third best technical university.
