Upon buying a vehicle in Poland a registration certificate is given to the new owner by the dealer.
The owner of the car is now responsible for registering the vehicle under his/her name at the department of transport. You must bring your registration certificate along with your residency permit to the department. The cost of registration is 60 PLN.
If the number plate on your vehicle indicates a different area to the one in which you wish to register then you, as owner, are obliged to buy a new number plate for a fee of 300 PLN.
