Whatever stereotypes you may have, one cannot deny that Polish people are warm-hearted, friendly and polite. City life and urban living, in all its forms, is not that different to Western living.

However, once you head out into the countryside you will be confronted with a different pace – conservative culture prevails and is evident within the strong family unit, the traditional gender roles as well as in the profoundly catholic community.
